New World, the new MMO from Amazon, immediately makes use of Twitch Drops and Prime Gaming at launch. Through this, you can earn exclusive skins by watching streamers play New World. We at MeinMMO will reveal how it works and what rewards are available.
What can you earn by watching on Twitch? Through the so-called Twitch Drops, you can earn the new rank weapons starting September 28 at 5:00 PM.
To do this, you only need to watch one of 66 selected streamers and collect your rewards on your Twitch account. The following items can be obtained:
- Drop 1: Gaia Disc (Round Shield Skin) & Garden Wall (Tower Shield Skin) – Unlock by watching for 1 hour.
- Drop 2: Verdant Gear (Spear Skin) & Glowing Hatchet (Throwing Axe Skin) – watch for a total of 2 hours.
- Drop 3: Vine Whirl (Bow Skin) & Floral Swing (Rapier Skin) – watch for a total of 3 hours.
- Drop 4: Lavender Blossom (Long Point Shield Skin) & Verdant Grip (Longsword Skin) – watch for a total of 4.5 hours.
- Drop 5: Frosted Hand (Ice Gauntlets) & Dark Shot (Musket Skin) – watch for a total of 6 hours.
- Drop 6: Raven’s Revenge (Fire Staff Skin) & Pearl Shine (Life Staff Skin) – watch for a total of 8 hours.
- Drop 7: Green Grip (Battle Axe Skin) & Moss Grip (Warhammer Skin) – watch for a total of 10 hours.
The event runs until October 12 at 2:00 AM our time. After that, the current Twitch Drops will be deactivated, but more have already been announced. You do not have to watch the hours consecutively; you can spread them out over the event period.
You can find your Twitch Drops in the so-called “Drops Inventory” on Twitch. Twitch Drops were a no-brainer for New World since the Twitch platform belongs to Amazon.

Which streamers can you watch? All streamers who have already participated in the “Battle for New World” event have been unlocked. This includes German streamers such as:
- Entenburg – who is guaranteed to be live tonight
- Bonjwa
- dhalucard
- Royalphunk
Additionally, you can admire international streamers, such as:
- Fextralife
- P4wnyhof
- Bajheera

How do you connect the accounts? The quickest way to connect the various accounts is to do it through the New World website. There, there is a special sub-section “Twitch Drops” where you can directly link your Amazon account with Twitch and Stream.
New Skins and Emotes through Amazon Prime Gaming
What is available with Prime Gaming? Anyone with Amazon Prime who links their Amazon account with Twitch can automatically benefit from “Prime Gaming.” This gives you a free subscription on Twitch and interesting loot for games.
This system is also used by Amazon to provide you with skins in New World:
- From September 28 at 5:00 PM until November 1, you can get 5,000 Luck Coins (the currency from the shop), a pirate skin, and a pirate emote for free – see title image.
- From October 12 to November 1, you will receive a pirate sword skin and the “Cut Throat” emote through Prime Gaming.
