In New World, the “Fresh Start” servers opened on November 2nd. The first player reached max level after just 18 hours. He reveals how he accomplished this on reddit.
What has the player achieved? The Fresh Start in New World attracted tens of thousands of players, including returnees, newcomers, and veterans looking to level a new character.
Among the latter is player Vasya Uksus, who reached max level 60 after 17 hours and 52 minutes. He writes on reddit about how he did it:
- He completed the entire main quest
- He took all faction quests as well as some town quests
- He leveled gathering professions mining to 60 and skinning to 150
- He used buffs from musical instruments to progress as quickly as possible
He played the full 18 hours straight. He shared his success around 11:00 AM on reddit. In this screenshot, you can see the important moment:
How long did the first player take at release? The first player reached level 60 on October 3rd at 3:00 AM German time. So he took about 2.5 days to do it.
However, a lot has changed in the leveling phase in New World, as we also noticed during the Fresh Start.
The leveling phase is more streamlined, requires less travel, and needs less XP
What has changed in the leveling phase? The first levels from 1 to 25 have been completely overhauled. There are many adjusted quests, more story, and significantly shorter travel distances. The required experience points from level 35 to 55 have been significantly reduced. Additionally, new quests have been added that can be completed on the path to max level.
