On November 30, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War received a small update on the servers, adjusting weapon XP. Additionally, a nasty glitch on the cult map Nuketown will disappear.
How and where can I now get more weapon XP? From now on and everywhere! Treyarch published the English patch notes for the small update from November 30 and explains that now you can earn more experience points for your weapons in both multiplayer and the zombie mode of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War:
From today on, you will level up your weapons faster and unlock attachments quicker than at the previous normal rate. This applies to both: MP and Zombies.

The developers do not go into detail about how they adjusted the rate. However, many players are likely to welcome the change, as it usually takes a long time to get a weapon to the maximum level. With the last update, you could already earn more XP, but only in a specific mode.
The update also offers several other minor changes. You can find the details here on MeinMMO.

Cold War: Update on November 30th
Do I need to download anything? The patch is a small in-game update and installs itself when you start Cold War. It should only take a few moments and does not require any download or installation from your side.
What else has changed with the update? The other fixes in the patch also concern weapon XP and a nasty glitch on Nuketown:
- A problem was fixed that caused you to receive too little weapon XP in solo matches and in higher rounds in zombie mode
- The patch also fixed a weapon XP issue with napalm ammunition in zombie mode
- A section on the Nuketown map was closed that allowed players to survive outside the play area
Not even a week after the release of the new map Nuketown, the out-of-bounds glitch is already being removed from the game. Soldiers utilized the mechanics of an old Nuketown trick that unfortunately also allowed players to walk outside the map.
