On the evening of 25.08., a new update came to Call of Duty: Warzone. There is a decent list of bug fixes, but also a new matchmaking feature: player search for your own team. MeinMMO has the patch notes.
What’s going on? Since the start of Season 5, the update pace of Call of Duty: Warzone has increased. On the evening of August 25, another small update came and even brought a surprising new feature to the game: matchmaking for your own team.
Additionally, Warzone brings a sporting list of bug fixes, and MeinMMO shows you the new team search feature as well as the list of fixes.

How does the new “Team-Making” work? You can now find the new menu point “Search Players” at the bottom left of your lobby screen under “Fill Squad”. Through this menu screen, you can set your preferences and find players who are like you. There are 3 categories:
- Game Modes
- Party Communication
- Play Style
In the game modes, you will find the modes of the current playlist. You can choose what you want to play, and then you will get players in your party who also want to play your preferred mode. In communication, you can choose between “Voice” and “Ping”, depending on how you want to communicate with your teammates. In play style, there is the choice of “Hot & Ready” or “Slow & Steady”.
If you have fewer demands on the “Team-Making”, you can also select “All” in each category. This gives you the best chance of finding a team, but you won’t know what your teammates intend to do.
However, the developers from Raven Software emphasize in the patch notes that this feature is still in beta and write: “This function is still being tested and may change.” Overall, it’s a nice feature that came to the game quite unexpectedly.

Which bugs were fixed? Overall, Warzone lists 11 bug fixes. Among them is the bug that threw all players into the same team (via GameStar). We show you all the fixed issues:
- Fixed an error where all players in a lobby end up on the same team
- AFK players in load mode can now be kicked out of the game
- Contracts should no longer appear outside the map boundaries in load mode
- Issues with the prestige challenge “Adrenaline Junkie” have been fixed
- Fixed bugs with the prestige challenge “Pumping Iron”
- Operator mission from Beck “Calm, Cool, Collected” should now work correctly
- Camo missions for “Psychedelic” and “Science” on shotguns have been repaired
- Operator mission “Security Expert” from Kitsune should now work correctly
- Some calling cards and emblems from CDL spectators should now be displayed correctly
- Issues with contract rewards in standard Battle Royale have been fixed
- Several issues with the new “Hardened” perk have been fixed

Warzone brought only a few new features at the start of Season 5, but sets a decent pace with updates. As a highlight of the season, the new Call of Duty: Vanguard premiered the first trailer in battle royale.
