On December 19, 2024, Patch 1.11.2 for Throne and Liberty will be released. Look forward to adjustments for rune drops, an increase in the cap for abyss points, and important bug fixes.
How long are the servers offline? According to playthroneandliberty.com the servers of Throne and Liberty have been offline since 7:30 AM our time, and the maintenance is expected to last about 7 hours. Thus, the MMORPG could be accessible again from 2:30 PM. However, many of the previous maintenance phases lasted significantly shorter than announced.
As part of the maintenance, the developers are rolling out Update 1.11.2 of Throne and Liberty on all platforms. If you want to check on the servers of the MMORPG yourself, you can easily do so. You can find current reports on the server status either on the official X channel of Throne and Liberty or in the server status section of the official Discord channel.
Additionally, there is an overview of the current server status on the official website of the MMORPG, similar to Lost Ark. You can find this overview at playthroneandliberty.com.
The launch trailer of Throne and Liberty:
What are the highlights of Patch 1.11.2? The developers have taken note of the critical feedback on rune grinding and are providing some relief. From now on, you can accumulate 40,000 instead of 20,000 abyss points for farming the abyss dungeons in the open world.
In other words: You can now take longer farming breaks without losing abyss points (and thus loot from the dungeons). This is certainly a welcome improvement considering the upcoming holidays.
On the other hand, the devs are adjusting the drop behavior of runes. In the future, runes will be available through more activities in the game (also for abyss dungeons and guild raids), and the drop chances have been increased.

Patch Notes for Update 1.11.2
General
- Abyss points: The limit has been increased from 20,000 to 40,000.
- Island Saurodoma: The specific dimension mark drops have been changed to dimension mark selection chests. A dungeon player search sanction was incorrectly applied to characters who re-entered a completed dungeon through group search and then left again. This unwanted sanction has been removed.
- Guild raids: The weekly reset timer for guild raids has been corrected; the reset will occur again after the weekly maintenance.
- Guild raids: War merit order chests were incorrectly listed as potential rewards in guild raids and have now been removed from the reward display.
- Arena: After we heard your feedback, we have removed the recent arena map changes from 1.10.0 and reset the arena map rotation to the previous layout. We will be working a bit more carefully on the removed arena map.
- Transformation: The transformation “Peryton Ferthur,” which disappeared from the transformation menu in 1.11, is now back.
- Console: A bug has been fixed that prevented the settings menu from closing after switching between tabs.
Rune System
- After we reviewed the rune drops since the 1.10 update and evaluated your feedback, we have expanded the range of content from which runes are obtainable and increased the loot chance from various sources. This is intended to contribute to a greater variety of activities for significant rune progress.
- The number of reward runes from dynamic events and field bosses has been increased.
- Runes will now drop in abyss dungeons and guild raids.
- Chaos runes will now correctly drop from class 5+ in dimension checks.
- A bug has been fixed that caused the result window to be empty when disassembling runes.
Star Tree Solstice Event
- A bug has been fixed that prevented the festive tree at Castle Rock Watch from accepting decorations after the last siege event.
- Some placeholder texts for the arena player search UI on Snowdrift Island and map icons for the festive tree have been fixed.
- A bug has been fixed that caused some damage reduction effects to be taken to Snowdrift Island.
- Xbox: Dark ground textures in the Snowdrift Arena have been fixed.
- Xbox: A bug has been fixed that caused the Winter Wonderland headgear from the Winter Wonderland bundle not to appear after purchase.
