New MMORPG promises photorealistic graphics and aerial combat – Shows first, strong trailer

The MMORPG Night Crows was announced at the Korean gaming fair G-Star. It is being developed in Unreal Engine 5 and looks really beautiful in the first trailer. We at MeinMMO will tell you everything we know so far.

What do we know about the MMORPG? Night Crows will be a fantasy MMORPG and is expected to be released in Korea as early as April 2023. However, there are not many details yet:

• It is said to be a high-quality MMORPG with photorealistic graphics.
• You can fly through the game world with a glider and climb over rooftops. The world is said to be oriented towards the Middle Ages in Europe.
• The combat system is said to be action-packed, with battles taking place both on the ground and in the air.
• The game world will feature huge bosses that you will have to fight alongside other players.
• One of the main features is PvP battles with 1,000 players.

It is currently unclear which platforms Night Crows will be released for. Wemade is known for developing for mobile devices. The most likely scenario is a game that offers crossplay between PC and smartphone. The payment model is also not known.

The trailer looks beautiful, but can the MMORPG live up to it?

What does the trailer show? The trailer is said to showcase “in-game footage,” meaning content that can be found in the game exactly as shown. The landscapes and battles presented make an outstanding impression.

Especially the cities and the landscapes look impressive. Particularly cool is the section around minute 1:30, where you see a player jumping over rooftops like in Assassins Creed.

However, one should always view trailers with a certain skepticism. Graphics are often downscaled in the final game because otherwise the performance would suffer. Especially in battles with up to 1,000 players, it seems unlikely that it can be played with such a high level of detail as in the trailer.
