Irehon is a new action MMORPG that has been on Steam since last week. The Early Access launch is planned by the team at ReMouse Games for February 1. But what kind of game is it actually? We at MeinMMO summarize.
What is Irehon? Irehon aims to combine the worlds of survival games and MMORPGs. The game relies not only on hand-drawn graphics in a pixel-like look but also on a faction system.
Similar to the inspiration World of Warcraft, you are forced to join one of the two opposing factions. From this point on, there is also open-world PvP against players of the enemy faction.
These battles take place, as the name suggests, in the open world of Irehon, which the developers promote as “large.” It is full of enemies and dangers, and you start completely naked, as you are used to from survival games.
After that, you roam the world searching for resources to craft weapons and equipment so you can confront the dangers in Irehon.
What are the core features? Irehon also focuses on challenging PvE content such as raids and dungeons:
- Action combat system where you must dodge skillfully
- Exciting graphics in pixel style with hand-drawn elements
- A large, open world full of dangers awaits you
- Raid bosses and dungeons in PvE endgame
- Faction wars and battles in PvP endgame
- Crafting as a main aspect of character improvement
- A classless system where you are what you wear
Early access in just two months
When can you play? Initial alpha tests have already taken place, which you could sign up for on the official Irehon Discord. According to the current status, the game is set to enter Early Access on February 1, 2022.
However, since the game has been on Steam since December 17, this date has already changed three times. From December 28, 2021, to January 31, 2022, and now to February first.
Currently, nothing is known about the business model of Irehon. So it remains to be seen. Although a comment suggests that it will likely be Free2Play, this has not been officially confirmed yet.
How is the community reacting? Well, so far not at all. Reviews of the initial playtests are hard to find, and the official Discord has relatively few members with 70. We at MeinMMO are of course keeping an eye on the game for you and will keep you updated.
