New MMORPG Excites 17 Million Players in Asia, Finally Coming to Us After a Surprising Silence

The new MMORPG ODIN: Valhalla Rising is set to release in 2025 after a long silence. With a new trailer, the developers have announced the global release, and a date has already been given.

What kind of MMORPG is this? ODIN: Valhalla Rising is an MMORPG from publisher Kakao Games and developer Lionheart Studio, which already launched in Asia in 2021. The MMORPG performed extremely well there and reportedly made over 11 million euros in just 2 days.

As MMORPG.org.pl reports, the MMORPG has over 17 million downloads in Asia and remained the most popular MMO in the charts for 17 consecutive weeks after its release.

After the success in Asia, publisher Kakao Games wanted to bring the MMORPG to the West. Here in our country, it was supposed tobe released in 2023, but it was delayed repeatedly and eventually completely disappeared from the publisher’s financial reports.

After a long silence, there is now a new sign of life for ODIN: Valhalla Rising. With a new trailer, the developers have announced the global release:

What is ODIN: Valhalla Rising about? The MMORPG is set in Norse mythology and allows you to take on the role of a Viking. ODIN: Valhalla Rising offers the Holy Trinity of damage dealer, tank, and healer, featuring four different classes: Warrior, Rogue, Priest, and Sorceress.

The theme park MMORPG offers diverse areas such as green grasslands, barren stone deserts, cold winter landscapes, and enchanted fairy forests. The areas are home to various races in the game: humans, giants, dwarves, and elves.

You can traverse the areas not only on foot but also on the backs of dragons, pegasi, or giant moths. You can also travel by ship.

When will the MMORPG be released? After the long silence surrounding ODIN: Valhalla Rising, the MMORPG is expected to be released sometime this year. The developers have already mentioned the date for the start of the pre-registration phase in the new trailer: April 3, 2025. When the time comes, you can sign up on the developer’s website (via odinvalhallarising.kakaogames.com).
