Elyon, the new MMORPG from Korea, was supposed to start its Closed Beta today. However, it currently seems that no one can access the game and complaints on reddit and other platforms are steadily increasing. Find out here what is happening and how the situation is developing.
Updates on Server Status

May 7, 7:50 AM: There were several updates during the night, but even this morning there were still problems. However, based on my own experience and statements on reddit, at least most players were able to get into the game between 9:00 PM and 1:00 AM.

7:40 PM: The server is still not functioning correctly. Some players can get in, but many cannot. The last update on the Twitter account is now more than an hour old. We will keep you updated for now.
5:12 PM: There was actually supposed to be a livestream from Kakao Games today with a chance to win beta keys for Elyon. This has also been postponed until the issues are resolved (via Twitter).
4:44 PM: Now the official Twitter account reports that they are addressing the login issues and will extend the Closed Beta accordingly.
4:30 PM: MyMMO will surely get in, right? No, unfortunately not. In our launcher, the message “The launcher is temporarily closed” appears:
What is happening at Elyon right now?
The Closed Beta of the new and highly anticipated MMORPG Elyon (formerly A:IR) was supposed to start today, May 6, 2021, at 2 PM. However, numerous players are currently reporting not having fun in the colorful fantasy world, but rather experiencing login issues.
Most complaints on reddit and others read as follows:
- The launcher does not start at all!
- I press “Play”, but nothing happens!
- I press “Login” and end up on an endless white screen, then receive a 504 Gateway Timeout
- I cannot enter “@” for the login
- From Steam, I get to the account info but cannot find the launcher at all!
The servers of Elyon are currently down
What does all this mean? The 504 Gateway Timeout suggests that either the users’ internet connection is not suitable or – which is more likely here – the servers of Elyon are currently offline or overloaded and therefore cannot respond to requests.
How many are trying to access the servers? According to the publisher Kakao Games, around 40,000 keys have been issued.
What are the developers saying right now? According to the developers via Discord, the servers have likely been overwhelmed by the influx of players and have been taken offline, with the launchers temporarily blocked. This is why you currently cannot access the game. The developers are working to stabilize the servers so that you can quickly get into the game.
But I want to play Elyon! Patience, young Padawan, as it seems the problem currently lies with the developers and their servers. Such issues are unfortunately not uncommon during the launches of large betas or releases, and I’m sure there is already a frantic effort underway to find a solution. For now, you can still inform yourself about everything that you need to know about the beta launch.
We will inform you promptly here if the situation changes or if a statement from the developers becomes available. Until then, it is unfortunately necessary to show patience and to somehow bridge the waiting time. Perhaps with another recommendable MMORPG that performed well on Steam in 2021?
