This week, an MMORPG has died, surviving only 7 months without even leaving the beta phase. Listen to the news of the week in the new episode of the MeinMMO Podcast.
These are our topics: The year 2021 claimed a new MMO victim last week. Magic Legends will be shut down in October, although it is still technically in beta.
Gamers are once again proving they can throw around a lot of cash. A Chinese player spent €18,400 on an E-Girl who was supposed to play LoL with him, and then sued her afterwards. In the Kickstarter MMO Star Citizen, another player spent a whopping $100,000 (about €84,550) on ships, simply because he wanted them.
There was drama and disputes in WoW over a loot item, where Blizzard stepped in directly, and in LoL, where a professional player was thrown out of a team again.
