In CoD Warzone, you can soon look forward to a new map. The new map is coming a bit later than expected, but now it’s official: You will soon be able to engage in wild battle royale encounters on Rebirth Island.
What is the new map all about? For some time now, there have been leaks suggesting a new map called Rebirth Island. This map is supposed to replace Verdansk in Call of Duty: Warzone or coexist alongside the old map. There is still no concrete information on this.
What we do know for sure is: The map is indeed called Rebirth Island and it is definitely coming. In a small teaser, one could see the title clearly when the corresponding image was brightened up.

But when will the map come and what can you expect there?

Release and Content of the New Map Rebirth Island
When will the new map come? The Rebirth Island map will launch with Season 1 in CoD Cold War in Warzone. The games Warzone and Cold War share seasons and certain content from this point on.
The release date for Season 1 was initially planned for December 10, 2020, but was then postponed to December 16, 2020.
What could be included in the new map? Rebirth Island really exists. The island is located in the former Soviet Republic of Uzbekistan and was once a testing ground for chemical and biological weapons during the Soviet era.
A mission in the first Black Ops game takes place there, involving a deadly nerve gas. It is quite possible that this new gas will take on the role of the death zone.
According to a leak, it could also be a modified version of the Alcatraz map from Blackout. This was the battle royale mode of the previous Black Ops 4. Thus, the new map would be smaller than Verdansk.
At least it is known that the new map will also feature its own mode. In Black Ops 4, the Alcatraz map was notorious for extremely fast and fierce battles in tight spaces.
Moreover, zombies lurked on the prison island. Respawns were available every 30 seconds, but only a total of 5 times. It could be that the developers will reuse some of these features in the new map.
Furthermore, the developers hinted at a changed Gulag experience, but without providing further details.
