What can you expect with Mortal Online 2? The successor of one of the toughest PvP MMORPGs aims to demand everything from you. You find yourself in a fantasy world where every mistake could be your last. YouTuber and MMORPG expert KiraTV refers to the game as “Sandbox on Steroids” (via Youtube). This means you play in a sandbox world, where you can take your own path and enjoy many freedoms.

An MMORPG for hardcore players
How does the game differ from its predecessor? Unlike its predecessor, Mortal Online 2 is not supposed to be quite so unfair. There are more safe zones where you cannot be attacked by other players, and there is supposed to be a justice system. Those who unjustly kill other players will have to face consequences. This MMORPG aims to reach players who found the predecessor a bit too harsh.
Who is the game suitable for? Mortal Online 2 is a hardcore MMORPG that gives you the opportunity to unleash yourself in a brutal fantasy world. One could say Mortal Online 2 will be a kind of EVE Online for fantasy fans.
It is difficult to master due to complex gameplay mechanics, you have to live with PvP, but you can go very far in the world – for example, to become the best blacksmith in the game world or the mightiest warrior.
What is particularly interesting about the game? PvP extends not only to battles. For example, if someone has discovered a secret and rare recipe for crafting a particularly powerful weapon, they keep it to themselves. This gives them an advantage over the competition. Secrets are usually kept private.
Moreover, it is known that in the predecessor, great rivalries formed between players that last for years. This will also likely be the case in Mortal Online 2. From these rivalries, wars can arise – similar to what happens in EVE Online.
Here’s how you can participate: On March 25, a major stress test of the new MMORPG begins, which offers a special feature: You will experience the game (almost) as it is supposed to be at release. This means there will be no endless resources or skill points, as was the case in previous tests. You can explore the entire world, which will still undergo some fine-tuning before the official release.
You start on a safe island to familiarize yourself with the mechanics, and from there you will head into the open game world. The only difference from the release version: You collect experience points faster to be able to try out multiple builds.
To participate, you register on the official website of Mortal Online 2. Your chances of being selected for the stress test are pretty good. The developers want to let as many players onto the servers as possible to determine how much they can handle.
The test will end on March 28.
What is special about the test? Four events will take place during the stress test. During these events, you can win prizes, including graphics cards, vouchers, and merchandise related to the game. The events consist of several challenges, which the developers have not yet revealed much about.
When will Mortal Online 2 be released? The launch of the early access phase via Steam is planned for the spring. The official release should then take place not too long after. We can expect the launch in 2021, if everything goes well. The release is currently only planned for PC.
Even in the early access phase, you can expect a persistent world, in which there will be no wipes anymore. You will then carry over your progress to the release version of Mortal Online 2 once it starts.
