Throne and Liberty is set to become an AAA MMO from NCSoft and Amazon, which will be released for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. New scenes have now been leaked.
What kind of leak is this? Currently, there is a video on YouTube showcasing various aspects in multiple sections of the game.
Among other things, a bit of the combat system, a city, different areas, various movements, as well as elements like menus and a double crossbow can be seen.
The gameplay scenes apparently come from the South Korean CBT server, reports the portal “mmorpg.org.pl“. Nearly ten minutes of disjointed videos can be watched there.
The video from user “Lord Fixit” (via YouTube) is embedded here. Keep in mind that these are not official recordings but a leak. Whether and in what form the features will ultimately make it into the game remains uncertain.
What is Throne and Liberty as a game?
What is known so far: Originally, the new MMORPG was supposed to be developed as “Lineage Eternal”, but it failed a test in 2017 and was subsequently revised over several years. Thus, the new project, or rather its renaming, “Throne and Liberty” was born.
You can see an overview of the game here:
The game is said to include high-quality PvE content, but also to focus on PvP, including massive fortress battles in the endgame. It is expected to provide action-packed fights, huge bosses, and an exciting story. Weather is also said to play a significant role, impacting both abilities, weapons, enemies, and more.
Interestingly, PvP battles in the open world are said to take place during the day under the cover of a karma system, but there should be no penalties at night.
In this context, Amazon acts as the publisher in the West for the new MMORPG. A comprehensive overview of Throne and Liberty can be found here.
When is TL being released? The release is currently scheduled for October 2023. It should be available from the start for PC, as well as for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. A beta is still ongoing in South Korea in May, and further tests are expected to take place in North America. However, the timing for this is not yet known.
