The game Bloodlines of Prima is Free2Play and recently left Early Access on Steam. It is an MMORPG that simultaneously uses elements of first-person shooters. We introduce it to you.
What kind of game is it? Bloodlines of Prima calls itself an FPS-MMORPG. It is supposed to be a mix of classic RPG and hero shooter in first-person perspective.
You play as a hero who can rely on an arsenal of hundreds of elemental skills and various equipment. You join one of two factions that fight each other, even in the open world.
By completing quests and defeating enemies, your reputation increases. This gives you access to the auction houses and further tasks. However, you can also become an outlaw and build a negative reputation with both factions.
First-person perspective and high difficulty level
What is special about the MMORPG? You experience all events in the game world from the first-person perspective. No matter which skills you use, you only see your character’s hand.
Bloodlines of Prima also utilizes a special Transmute system that is supposed to keep every found item useful and upgrade your equipment.
Moreover, the MMORPG places emphasis on challenging boss fights in dungeons and the open world. In a Steam review from user Chocolostrum, the content was even labeled as too difficult in 2017.
Where are the problems of the game? A major problem of Bloodlines of Prima lies currently in the graphics. It looks very weak in all areas for a game celebrating its official release in 2020. Neither the animations, nor the environment or the interface can really convince.
Another point of criticism is currently the low number of players. It makes it hardly possible for you to meet other players in the open world. According to Steamcharts, the MMORPG had 6 concurrent players at its peak in the last 30 days.
Too few for a world that has a capital, 6 outposts, and at least the same number of areas.
Is the new MMORPG worth it? In the last 30 days, the MMORPG received 6 reviews on Steam. All 6 were positive. However, due to the low number of players, this says little about Bloodlines of Prima.
Officially, the developers from Amazastrophic want to further develop their game and particularly address the criticism regarding graphics. Whether this will lead to a significant turnaround in the game is rather unlikely.
In its current state, the MMORPG does not receive a recommendation from us. However, if you feel like it, you can still take a look at the Free2Play game.
- Another Free2Play MMORPG is currently trying to rescue itself with a paid DLC. Here too, there is a lack of players.
- The shooter Rainbow Six Siege would like to become Free2Play, but currently cannot.
