Hawked is a new extraction shooter on Steam and will soon start its open beta. From August 3 to August 17, 2023, interested players can take a look at the title that lures with its interesting setting.
What is special about Hawked? In Hawked, players are taken to an island full of ruins and ancient sites. The temples do not seem to be completely abandoned, as traps and puzzles protect the treasure chambers from grave robbers.
Using the puzzles, players can open the doors of the treasure chambers. However, there are also dynamic events, such as a boss enemy that hoards treasures.
The shooter stands out with a very special look. In combat, actions are highlighted by words, just like in comic books. For example, a firefight is signaled by a “Pew Pew”.

With a team of three, players must retrieve the artifacts on the island called X-Isle and escape the island without losing their loot to the competition. The artifacts are not just useless items; they allow teams to use special abilities.
What can the artifacts do? There are supposed to be over 21 artifacts in the game. With the artifacts, players can transform into a bush, for example, to hide from enemies. Other artifacts allow for tracking down opponents.
Players can collect and use three different artifacts at the same time. In addition, there are 14 equipment items like boomerangs, deployable shields, or scout hawks.
How you can test Hawked yourself
Unfortunately, there is still no release date for Hawked, but interested players can already test the shooter in an open beta. Every player is invited to test the title from August 3 to August 17, 2023. The game can be started either via Steam or the MGLauncher on PC.
At a later date, there will also be another open beta that will take place on consoles. This beta will support crossplay between PC and consoles. The developers will reveal further details at a later time.
In the open beta, there will be a Renegade Pass #0 available. It is free for all testers and includes exclusive cosmetics that players will keep in the full version after the open beta.
However, the regular game progress will be reset.
