Nexon is working with Peria Chronicles on an MMORPG for PC that not only looks like a playable anime but also offers interesting and fresh features. The testing phase will start soon – at least in Korea.
What is Peria Chronicles? The MMORPG was announced back in 2012 by Nexon as Project NT. In the game, you will not only experience adventures in an anime world, but you can also help shape it.
- The graphics resemble anime thanks to cell-shading. The game looks as if you are playing a Japanese animated film.
- NPCs provide you with quests
- You fight numerous monsters to improve your hero.
Build Your Own Worlds
What is special about the MMORPG? Peria Chronicles is not a typical MMORPG, although many elements such as fighting, questing, and improving the character remind players of it. There are some features that set this online role-playing game apart from other genre representatives.
- Through the pet system, it is possible to befriend the so-called Kirana. These are beings with various abilities that support you in battles.
- You can create your own Kirana. You can combine abilities to create the pet that is most useful to you.
- You summon the Kirana during battles. This summoning system is an important part of the game. The entire system somewhat resembles Pokémon.
- You design your own world. In the skies above the planet, you build floating landscapes that you shape freely. There you even place objects and NPCs, creating an individual world that you gradually expand.
- Your imagination has no limits when building. For example, you can create dungeons and fill them with traps. Other players will then explore your dungeon.
- There are many mini-games similar to MapleStory 2. Among them is a kind of Tetris.
Coming Soon in Korea
When does Peria Chronicles start? The MMORPG will hold its first testing phase from May 9 to May 12 in South Korea, for which interested players can currently register until May 2.
Registration is required, you must have a Korean phone number and complete a questionnaire. However, the English fan site has the translated answers.
Peria Chronicles does not yet have a release date. It is also not known when testing will start in Europe and the USA.
What do players think about Peria Chronicles? There is a fan base that is already looking forward to being able to play the MMORPG. Discussions about new features are taking place on Reddit.
