The MMO Neverwinter is visited by one of the most iconic duos in PC gaming history: The somewhat simple Minsc and his hamster Boo pay a visit to the Forgotten Realms.
“Always on the eyes, Boo! Always on the eyes!” was one of the cult phrases of the …somewhat deranged follower Minsc, a Ranger in the cult RPG Baldur’s Gate. He was quite fond of his “giant miniature space hamster” Boo and gave clear battle instructions.
Originally created in a private Dungeons-and-Dragons group, the unlikely Minsc&Boo duo is considered one of Bioware’s best creations, and they have built an excellent reputation over this time. As a “comic relief” character in Baldur’s Gate, Minsc and Boo and the battle cry “Always on the eyes!” made PC history.
The action MMO Neverwinter aims to capitalize on the popularity of the two and brings them as quest NPCs into the MMO world. They are set to play an important role with “Elemental Evil,” the next expansion.
In addition to the two, the module also brings a new level cap, the Oathbound Paladin as a new class, and much more. One can only hope that the authors do justice to the characters.
The module is set to release on March 17.
