Bots and the sale of gold for real money is a problem in many MMORPGs, including Neverwinter. However, the developers are now taking aggressive action against it.
After complaints from players in the official forum of the MMORPG Neverwinter, who expressed criticism about being banned in the game, the developers responded. They explained that they are reviewing account data and have determined that this cannot be regular player behavior. Everything points to botting, which is why some accounts had to be permanently banned.

Additionally, there were some temporary bans. Based on account data, they also found that some players had purchased gold through third-party sellers. This violates the rules, and Cryptic Studios does not want to tolerate such behavior in the game. Therefore, some temporary bans had to be issued, which, however, only last for three days.
The Cryptic Studios also remind players that purchasing gold through third parties always comes with a high security risk. Therefore, one should refrain from doing so for this reason alone. Additionally, the astral diamonds that can be acquired in this way may originate from hacked accounts of other players or may even have been obtained through credit card fraud.
If you believe you have been unjustly banned, you should contact customer support. They can clarify the situation. Within about 24 hours, you should expect a resolution of the case. The Cryptic Studios demonstrate through this situation that they insist on adherence to the game rules and that violations will be punished.
