Just before BlizzCon 2019, there is a new leak about Diablo 4. It describes what is happening in the gameplay, how the game looks visually, and which classes are represented. We will show you the information.
Who leaked this? A thread by a user is being intensely discussed on Reddit, claiming to reveal new information about Diablo IV. While the game has not yet been officially announced by Blizzard, this leaker claims to know quite a bit already.
On his Reddit profile, several leaks can be seen that he published in the past months and which turned out to be correct. This includes the new Ghost Recon Breakpoint and its release date. Therefore, users trust this leaker quite a bit and are attentive to the new Diablo 4 information. After the first leaks, players still said, not to get their hopes up for Diablo 4. Is that changing now?
Update November 1: The leak seems to have been right. Diablo 4 will be really dark, and the team demonstrates this with these story and gameplay trailers.
What was leaked?
This is how the visuals change: The new information suggests that Blizzard aims to create a mix of Diablo 2 and 3 with Diablo IV.
Diablo IV is said to look “dark, gloomy, and disgusting”; no “colorful rainbow bullshit this time,” writes PracticalBrush12 in his leak on Reddit. The areas where you play are supposed to be darker. Corpses are lying around, enemies are decaying, and cities are desolate.
Mounts in Diablo 4? Characters should now be able to use horses and possibly other mounts. How to obtain them and when or how they can be used is unclear.
Interaction with the environment: It should be possible to climb walls with characters.
Which classes will there be? The leak claims to confirm three classes already:
- Mage
- Barbarian
- Druid
The Mage is said to fight with fire, ice, and lightning spells; the Barbarian uses swords, axes, and other weapons. A Druid fights with electricity and wind. Additionally, he should be able to transform into animals like bears and werewolves.
This is how combat works: As usual, you should be able to play in 4-player co-op. PvP might also be available from the start. Generally, the combat from Diablo 3 is said to be improved. This is also confirmed by analyst Daniel Ahmad on Twitter:
Who will be fought against? The character Lilith, whom we have already dealt with, is said to become the “new Diablo”.
