Cast: Who is starring in the live-action movie of Naruto?
There are currently no concrete names regarding the casting. On x.com, the Lionsgate studio account shared an article from IGN on July 10, 2026, announcing that actors are now being sought globally.
We will likely find out who will play Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, and all the others in the coming months.
Who is behind the film? Behind the scenes, we already know more. The film is produced by Lionsgate Studios, which is also handling the distribution, and Hisako. The following individuals hold key positions:
- Director: Destin Daniel Cretton (Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Shang-Chi)
- Screenplay: Destin Daniel Cretton and Tasha Huo
- Producers: Avi Arad, Emmy Yu, and Jeremy Latcham
Also, the creator of Naruto, Masashi Kishimoto, is on board and has already expressed his satisfaction with Destin Daniel Cretton as the director:
My work “Naruto” is actually, truly becoming a Hollywood movie! And an even greater miracle is that the film is directed by none other than Destin Daniel Cretton. I still can’t believe it!
