How was the ranking created? In this ranking, we look at the Hokage of Konohagakure in detail. We pay special attention to their combat power and abilities, including their inner strength and wisdom. The evaluation is based on the anime and manga. Naruto, Naruto Shippuden, and Boruto have been included.
The ranking was created based on the personal assessment of MyMMO author Fabienne Kissel, a longtime fan of Naruto. Her favorite characters are Kakashi, Naruto, Hinata, and Sakura, which might also be reflected in the ranking.
Rank 8: Shikamaru (8th Hokage)
Shikamaru has always been a strategic genius who keeps a cool head even in the most complicated situations. He has not only won the battles of the past through his brilliant tactics but has also gained a wealth of experience serving as an advisor to three Hokage (Tsunade, Kakashi, and Naruto).
Shikamaru has an IQ of over 200 and can go through countless strategies per second in his head and choose the best option. Through his observations and participation in important decisions, Shikamaru has fully understood what it means to lead the village—a responsibility he has taken on.
He is also known for his Shadow Possession Jutsu. With this Jutsu, he can control his opponents’ movements, hold them in place, lure them into traps, and shape the fight according to his rules. One should never underestimate him.
Rank 7: Tsunade (5th Hokage)
Tsunade is an absolute powerhouse. She is not only one of the legendary Sannin but also one of the strongest and brightest Kunoichi.
What makes Tsunade truly special is her incredible physical strength. She is known to tear the ground apart with a single strike or bring entire buildings down. Tsunade can perfectly control her chakra. She is also an outstanding healer and has elevated medical Ninjutsu to a whole new level.
Her regenerative ability, supported by the Byakugou Seal on her forehead, makes her virtually invulnerable in battle. She can heal even fatal injuries and is still able to save her allies.
But Tsunade is not only physically strong—she also has an iron will and a big heart that beats for her friends and her village.
Rank 6: Kakashi Hatake (6th Hokage)
Kakashi Hatake is among the most popular characters. The guy who always arrives late, with an excuse so outlandish that you just can’t be mad at him. He may have a laid-back attitude, but he doesn’t do half measures in battle.
What sets Kakashi apart is his Sharingan, which he received from his teammate Obito Uchiha. This eye has made him the Copy Ninja, who has copied over 1,000 Jutsu.
Then there’s his own specially developed Jutsu: Chidori, also known as Thousand Birds
– a lightning-fast and deadly attack.
But what truly makes Kakashi strong is his incredible tactical mind and his ability to read his opponents like an open book. Even in the most hopeless situations, he remains calm and finds a way to turn the tide.
Kakashi lost the Sharingan before he became Hokage. This happened in the final battle against Kaguya Otsutsuki. But as we know Kakashi, he made the best of it as a natural talent and led the village as Hokage with all the knowledge and experiences he had gathered over the years.
While he can no longer copy new Jutsu, he has more than enough with over 1,000 Jutsu. He can no longer use his Chidori, but instead has a new lightning technique called Purple Lightning
, which is just as powerful, if not stronger.
