Monster Hunter World has released a trailer for the first free DLC of the Iceborne add-on. It showcases the new monster Rajang. We now know when Rajang will be coming to Monster Hunter World.
Update 12.09.19:
The release date for Rajang is set The first DLC monster will be available to you in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne starting October 10, 2019.
Do we have any new information about Rajang’s armor and weapons? Unfortunately, nothing is known about the equipment yet. We will keep you updated.
Original post:
Who is Rajang? The beast, just like Zinogre and Yian Garuga before him, is a familiar face for Monster Hunter veterans. Since the second game of the series, the fang-beast has been terrorizing hunters.
Rajang is not only very strong, but also fast and extremely aggressive. He can:
- Hit you with his fists
- Grab you
- Throw you
- Smash you to the ground
- And otherwise beat you to a pulp
What element does Rajang have? His special feature is his ability to generate electricity. Rajang can fire lightning from his mouth, either in volleys or as a beam.
What are Rajang’s other strengths? Rajang is really dangerous when he gets angry. In his rage mode, the beast turns red, and his hair changes color to yellow. It stands up like a Super Saiyan. Of course, he then deals significantly more damage.
The first DLC of Iceborne is scheduled for October 2019. You can watch the trailer for Rajang here:
What else do we know about the DLC? So far, Rajang and the release in October are the only information that Capcom has made public.
Yay, he will tear us apart!
This is what MHW players say: Under the announcement of Rajang on Twitter and Youtube, veterans celebrate the beast with funny comments, pictures, and gifs. The joy is mixed with the fear of getting a real beating from Rajang.
The Twitter user @mexican_sunbro wrote:
To the players who only know MHW: Prepare for pain
Some players have also pointed out that the territory fights between Rajang and other monsters in Iceborne, like Deviljho, should be a lot of fun.

Many gifs of Super Saiyans from Dragon Ball were also posted, as Rajang resembles them in his rage form.
