Monster Hunter World: Iceborne offers you many possibilities for self-expression. One of them is your personal space, which you can now make even fancier and share with your fellow players.
This is how “Housing” works in Iceborne: In Monster Hunter World, you could already design your own space in the base game. You still have various designs to choose from in Astera and can place pets. With Iceborne came a new headquarters – Seliana. This also brings a new private space.
There you have many options to express yourself. As usual, through fluffy and less fluffy roommates, of which you can now distribute multiple per slot.
Additionally, you can work on the interior design. From now on, you no longer have to do that alone in your quiet chamber. You can now invite other players to your quarters or join theirs.
Truly Cozy
What’s new: The expansion Monster Hunter World: Iceborne received its first major update on October 10. This included a new area in the Guiding Lands as well as the monster Rajang, which some may already know from earlier games in the franchise.
Also, quite a bit has changed in your space:
- You can now visit other players’ spaces and vice versa
- A music box with mood-setting songs has been added
- You can display your fancy armor set with weapon
- You now have even more decorations available
- Your space has received its own chat function
This is how you make your space available to others: To make your space accessible to other players, you need to set it to “public”. Then everyone in the session can admire your taste and achievements.
This can be done via your steward in the quarters themselves. There is now a tab called “Room Status”. You can also change it through the options. For this, you need to select “your room” under communication. You have the choice between:
- Private – Just for you and for designing
- Public – Accessible to all players in the session
- Public with password – For selected players who have received the password from you
This is what the new music box can do: When you enter your room, you are now greeted by a music box with three fluffy chickens sitting on it. When you click on it, you have the choice of different songs. If you select one of them, it will be played as musical accompaniment in your room. In addition, the chickens start to dance – wonderful!
This is how you showcase your fancy set: Below in your room, there is now an exhibition area. There you can really show off to your fellow players and display your favorite combination of armor, decoration armor, and weapon. An alternative option is to choose a monster bust. Next to it is a table with scouting bugs that you can let float through your room.
These new room decorations are available: The update brought you the choice between two base designs for your room in Seliana. You can now choose from the already known “Cozy Home” and a new one called “Elevated Elegance”. Additionally, there is the already mentioned exhibition area and some new furniture.
Through progress, you can unlock more decorations. These include pictures or items for the cabinets. You can also earn rare furnishings and show them off to your fellow players – of course in a friendly manner.
You now have the opportunity to hang out with friends or any players in the room. There you can admire each other’s interior design and show off your fanciest set. You also have the chance to chat about your achievements.
