Monster Hunter: World has recently been released for PC and there is already a cheat engine available. However, it seems that the majority of the community doesn’t really care.
The PC version of Monster Hunter: World is here and the first cheats are already circulating online. However, the community is reacting rather calmly, even relaxed.
Usually, we are accustomed to outcries, frustration, and anger from the community when cheats are used in an online game. What is the reason for this?

The answer probably lies in the nature of the game and the pragmatic community.
At this point, a note: We do not promote cheats and will not reveal any specific tools or how to obtain them. However, they are a daily topic for gamers, which is why we report on them from time to time. Explanations are meant for general understanding.
What is a cheat engine? A cheat engine is a tool that grants access to many functions and thus enables changes in the system.
Cheaters on the PC version – So what?
These three opinions from the community are most commonly represented:
- The cheating faction is pleased with the various possibilities available through different tools, or those still in development,
- MH veterans are used to this and thus are not particularly impressed,
- and then there are the newcomers, who do not quite know how to deal with it. After all, it is frowned upon in other online titles.
For the most part, it seems that cheats are perceived as a completely normal part of the game.
Veterans remember – cheating has always been part of Monster Hunter
When talking to people who have been around since the PSP installments, it quickly becomes clear: Cheats have long ceased to be a major issue.
In several parts of the MH series, cheating and experimenting have been common: It has almost become part of Monster Hunter for mechanics to be pushed, limits tested, and tricks applied.
For example, there is MH: Freedom Unite,
- where players used save files with all items (99 of each) to experiment,
- the health bar could be manipulated,
- Palicos could kill monsters with one hit,
- and monsters could be immobilized.
Almost every installment offered some tricks and cheats. Even on the console versions of Monster Hunter World, players could manipulate save files to obtain desired jewels.
There are various motives: Some just want to have fun, others want to see what happens, and some genuinely want to escape the grind and simplify things. While this often causes disputes, discussions, and separated communities in other games, it’s more of a side issue in Monster Hunter.

You can’t cheat skill
Cheats do not make you better: One reason why cheats only cause indifference is also the focus of hardcore hunters on their own skills.
The goal is to improve, learn movement patterns, and kill monsters as efficiently or impressively as possible. In tournaments and videos, speed runs are the way to determine who the better hunter is. Cheats are not allowed here.
Access to everything does not mean victory: Currently, there are no cheats that improve player skills. Owning all weapons does not prevent you from being defeated by monsters. The same goes for armors.
In the end, you can harm yourself: Having infinite health points might be interesting for a few rounds, but eventually, it loses its appeal.
If you undermine every core element of the game to make it easier, you end up with nothing to work towards. Therefore, one should be cautious.
There is no PvP in Monster Hunter
Monster Hunter opts out of player-versus-player fights: A significant reason may also be the lack of PvP in Monster Hunter. There is no way for players to fight directly against each other.
Cheats cause more or fewer problems depending on the game: Therefore, there is no usual frustration that arises when being taken down by cheaters in a multiplayer game.
Other titles as an example: In games like The Division, it is quite the opposite, and here, hackers make life hard for some players in PvP. Accordingly, the attitude in the local community is different.
It can depend on the nature of the game whether players are upset about cheats and hacks or not.

Cheats for Monster Hunter: World may be more extensive on PC
Dealing with cheaters: If a cheater appears in your lobby, you can simply remove them if necessary. In principle, they can hardly have a negative impact on you in Monster Hunter.
How extensively can the PC version of Monster Hunter World be influenced? Can the cheats actively harm the multiplayer? These are questions that will only be answered over the coming weeks and months.
What do you think about the topic? Are you also relaxed when it comes to cheats in Monster Hunter?
