In Monster Hunter Wilds there is a piece of equipment that makes you the most daring hero of all time: the flowing Sealed Dragon Cloth α. What you need for it and how to get it will be explained here.
Where do you get the scarf? To own the scarf and use it as decorative armor for your perfect outfit, you need to complete the event quest “Running Wild” and gather enough materials.
The quest has been permanently available in the game since February 18, 2026, so you can complete it whenever you want. Here are the requirements and tasks you need to fulfill:
- Have reached at least Hunter Rank 21
- You must be able to visit the Ruins of Wyveria
- Hunt a Guardian Fulgur Anjanath during the quest
Whether you catch it or slay it is entirely up to you. Also, whether you play the quest in online or offline mode is up to you – both are possible.
Upon completing the quest, you will receive the material “Sealed Dragon Cloth.” You need exactly 4 pieces of this material to craft the item. What else you need and how to quickly gather the materials will be explained in the following paragraph.

What do you need for the scarf? Fortunately, it may be enough to complete the event quest “Running Wild” a few times. To craft the scarf at Gemma in the forge, you need:
- 4 × Dragoncloth Scarf
- Can only be obtained in exactly this event quest
- 3 x Guardian Fulgur Anjanath Nose+
- Can be obtained when you defeat a G.-Fulgur-Anjanath in high rank
- 2 x Guardian Blood
- Can be obtained from all Guardian monsters
- 5 x Robust Guardian Bones
- Can be obtained from Guardian monsters with some luck
You can also obtain all materials in the event quest itself, as the Guardian Fulgur Anjanath can supply all the required items if you have some luck.
How can you obtain the materials with minimal effort? The easiest way to increase your loot chance is to eat the appropriate meal that grants you the buff “Lucky Meal.” This causes you to receive more materials at the end of a hunt. As a result, you will also get more of the rare materials that require some luck.
You can either prepare such meals yourself, consume them at Kunafa, or exchange them for vouchers at the Great Site.
Then join ongoing quests and help other hunters complete the quest to save time. This tactic is also worthwhile for all other materials you want to farm.
With the final update in Monster Hunter Wilds on February 18, 2026, the event quest has been permanently added to the game and remains playable indefinitely.
