The MMORPG Black Desert Online (PC, PS4/PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S) is conducting an interesting event in Southeast Asia: If you play enough in Trial mode, you can get the online role-playing game for free.
What is this action about? Black Desert Online (BDO) is a Buy2Play title. You can purchase the standard version for 10 euros and then play for as long as you like without a subscription.
However, there is a 7-day Free Trial during which you can try out the MMORPG. If you like it, you actually need to buy it – technically, as there is a way to get it completely for free – but this currently only applies to the SEA server in Southeast Asia. Previous events like this have also been made available to us shortly after.
If you play on the SEA server, which is easily possible, you will gain access to the full standard version, including the new class Nova, through a new event:
Simply reach Level 50 in BDO
How does the event work? The Free Trial has been extended to 30 days as part of the event. To participate, click on the official website on the “Test for Free” button and get your guest pass for 30 days.
The extension of the Free Trial has a specific reason. If you manage to level up your hero to Level 50 within this time, you can continue to play Black Desert Online for free. The developer Pearl Abyss will then gift you the MMORPG.
30 days is more than enough time to reach Level 50. As soon as you reach Level 50 on any day of the free trial by 11:59 PM, the game will be unlocked for you the following day at 12 PM.

Who can participate in the event? The event is aimed at new players who have not yet had an account for the MMORPG BDO and simply want to try the trial. Additionally, the event is for guest access. Anyone with such access who plays as a guest can also participate and receive the MMORPG for free starting from Level 50. And the entry is currently worthwhile according to expert and streamer PvEnvironment.
How long does the event last? It started on January 13 and runs until January 27 at 11:59 PM.
This means you have until January 27 at 11:59 PM to reach Level 50. Then the MMORPG will be completely unlocked for you the following day at 12 PM.
What do you need to pay attention to? Currently, the event is only taking place on the SEA server of BDO. However, you can easily play there. It is conceivable that it will also start here shortly, but no date has been set yet. The last time this event occurred in our country was in July 2020.
During the event period, you are not allowed to purchase any packages or a paid access to the game. If you do, the event will be over for you.
However, you can buy packages once you have received the free access after reaching Level 50.
