The MMORPG Elyon has introduced a new class called the Slayer. Here’s what the new swordsman can do.
What it’s about: Elyon is an action MMORPG from South Korea and was originally announced as Ascent: Infinite Realm. However, the game was revamped and is now called Elyon. The developer behind the game is Bluehole, known for games like PUBG and TERA.
The combat system relies on super fast gameplay and resembles games like TERA or Black Desert. This is also demonstrated by the new class that has just been introduced. The Slayer can best be described as a classic swordsman. He joins the 5 other classes of Elyon.

When will Slayer be available in the game? According to the official website, Slayer will be available on the Korean servers starting February 3, 2021.
When is Elyon coming to Europe? The MMORPG is set to launch in Europe and the USA in the second half of 2021, so sometime between June and December of this year.
What we know about the new class: The trailer showcases fast-paced gameplay where the Slayer slashes through monsters with a powerful two-handed sword. You can also see his special ability “Doom,” which is a kind of rage mode in which the Slayer deals more damage. However, not much more is known so far.
An interesting detail is that there is already a class named Slayer in TERA, which also wields a two-handed sword. Overall, Elyon looks like a modern TERA.
This is not surprising, as it comes from the same development studio. The MMORPG invites players to explore a fantastic world, crafting, character creation, and housing, similar to what was seen in TERA. However, the game pace is significantly faster.
What else we know about Elyon: In addition to the fast combat system, the focus is on PvP battles with up to 300 players. Two factions fight against each other in the game for domination in Elyon, the namesake world of the game.
There will also be aerial combat with airships, although it won’t play a huge role. Additionally, there are dungeon runs.
