Today, Season 10 titled “Price of Power” launches in Division 2. After many months of relative silence around the cover shooter, players can now look forward to new content. And that’s not all. Ubisoft announced, with an eye on 2023, that work on Year 5 has already begun. MeinMMO will bring you up to date.
After Division 2 announced it would only rotate old content until the end of 2021, many agents lost their loyalty. However, more players are now returning to Washington and New York because Ubisoft is not only offering hope for more but has also announced many new contents for Division 2 in recent months.
These will now gradually make their way into the game. Today, Season 10 “The Price of Power” has launched and brings new content for “Busy Bees”.

What’s new in Season 10 of TU16? The wait was certainly worth it, as shown by the last Season 9. There, Ubisoft hid a cool cliffhanger that made many players curious about a background story involving the feared Hunters.
Season 10 will continue this story in a new bounty.
What is the new bounty about? Agents are to hunt 5 targets including the main target General Anderson in the upcoming 3 months during the new bounty. He is a leader of the True Sons, who is trying to negotiate peace with the Black Tusk to pose their united forces against the Division.
Additionally, there are plenty of new items to earn during these hunts through the season pass, such as weapons, 2 new brand sets, and more.
- From rank 2, the new brand set named “Brazos-de-Arcabuz” awaits
- At rank 11, you receive the new brand set “Umbra-Initiative”
- Rank 30 gives you the named M1A rifle “Left Part of the Stage”
- The named left-handed “Lefty” shotgun, which wiped everything out on the PTS server, awaits at rank 80
- Rank 85 holds the exotic pistol “The Busy Bee”
- And rank 90 will provide agents with the exotic gloves “Bloody Knuckles”.
- Additionally, there are many blueprints to collect in Season 10.
“Lucky”, the last target of the bounty, can be completed from November 15. After that, nothing stands between you and the primary target General Anderson, as the current roadmap shows.
Additionally, there will be 2 new clothing events “SHD Poster Boy”, which will offer military outfits, and “Dark Path”, with creepier masks or Halloween themes. There will also be 4 previously known Global Events again.
What else has changed? Ubisoft and Massive have integrated not only new content but also improvements for players. For instance, exotics now have a small chance to drop from NPCs in normal gameplay.
In addition, players had requested through feedback from public test servers (PTS) to introduce harder versions for Countdown as well as other activities.
Consequently, in Season 10, the two missions “Tidal Basin” and “Manning National Zoo” can be completed on Legendary difficulty. More are to follow.
Loot-heavy PvE mode becomes more flexible: For the PvE mode “Countdown”, there will now be multiple difficulty levels instead of just one. You can then complete these alone or in a group, even with player matchmaking.
- Normal – Can be completed alone
- Hard – Designed for groups of 8 casual players
- Challenging – For a group of 8 randomly matched players. However, this can also be completed by a team of 2-4 hardcore players.
- Heroic – The perfect challenge for 4-8 hardcore players.
The Hunters at the beginning are, however, not easy to farm from Season 10 onwards, as they now do not give you normal loot anymore, but instead “Hunter Dog Tags”.
Looking good has also become easier: Since Season 10, every player can fully customize their character at the mirror. So not only hair and tattoos but also face and body.
This is what agents can expect in free play: For the open-world, there was an update for the adjustable directives. Now you can voluntarily restrict access to blue ammunition crates in exchange for more XP. However, no new directives have been added.
The launch of Season 10 was rather rocky, and many players reported Delta errors and unstable server connections. However, Ubisoft has also mentioned future improvements here.
Overall, the new story and the new content give the impression that it is worthwhile to rediscover Division 2. Especially, Ubisoft revealed in the last showcase that work on Year 5 of Division 2 has already started. Players can thus expect not only new but also regular content for the cover shooter.
- With TU17 and Season 11, a new PvE mode called “Descent” will come to the game.
- In this mode, players are stripped of their powerful gear and must survive longer without their usual set advantages, just like in the “Survival” mode from Division 1. However, they can loot talents to gain strength.
- This way, mechanics can be combined that the game typically does not allow. This allows for completely new play styles and builds within “Descent”.

The future of Division 2 looks much brighter now, and if the ongoing story turns out as good as hoped, then the game might experience a second spring. Additionally, the new free-to-play game Division: Heartland will contribute, which indirectly ties into the Division 2 saga.

If you want to discover the game now, you can even do so for free. Until October 10, Division 2 is included in the free trial month of Ubisoft+. Interested players can explore the game with all the content and rewards of the Ultimate Edition.
- To make use of the free month, you just need to activate the free subscription of Ubisoft+. This can be done directly through the launcher.
Little tip: This also allows old players, who may not own the “Year 1 Pass” of Division 2 or other content, to obtain these again for free now. So you can, for example, enjoy the hidden 7 secret missions again, which entertain you with some tricky puzzles.
