The secrets about the next patch are gradually being revealed: In the free-to-play MMORPG Rift, famous for its exceptional gameplay, the upcoming update 2.6 will bring a new crafting profession. The Dreamweaver.
The Dreamweaver will grant players access to a total of 15 new dimensions. However, this won’t happen just like that; it requires the crafting of special keys – it’s easy to guess that some keys will likely pose a challenge. For those wondering about the term dimensions: that refers to the quite extensive housing system in Rift.
In addition to the dimensions, the profession fittingly also allows you to forge items for the accommodations, which, among other things, are supposed to have a special effect due to their fluorescent properties:
Dreamweaving is about bringing players’ imagination to life. As a weaver, you can create visual effects, lighting, and special items that can be used in dimensions. You can create elements like fire, water, particles, and smoke, plus pure, objectless effects that you can place anywhere (and on anything) in your favorite dimensions.
But what if someone doesn’t care about the accommodations? Should these players therefore steer clear of the weaver? The answer is no! Because fortunately, you can also craft powerful dream spheres that can be combined with the current crafting runes. These greatly enhance your equipment!
And since dreams are unpredictable, you won’t know what values you’ll get until after they are completed. I can imagine it will take several attempts before the desired values appear on the runes.
