What we are looking for: Anyone applying for this position should be well-versed in Monster Hunter World. You are an exemplary hunter who always knows which items are needed, and which builds are the best to really heat things up against the monsters.
In your hunting group, you are the one who provides others with plenty of tips and tricks. You enjoy helping other players, explaining the weak points of a monster and researching which strategies are the best. Whether it’s for farming or fighting.

Who we are
MeinMMO was founded in September 2013. Since March 2016 we have been part of Webedia Gaming. We continue to operate an independent editorial team, most of whom work from their home offices. We rely on the resources at our headquarters in Munich, where the editorial team of GameStar is also located.
The main focus of our reporting is on online multiplayer games, which are continuously developed. Previously, they were called MMOs and MMORPGs, today the term “Games as a service” or service games is becoming more common.
As an author for Monster Hunter World, your focus will mainly be on the action RPG and the franchise in general.
Every day we reach between 250,000 and 300,000 unique readers who write about 4,000 comments per week under our articles.
Our authors publish news, guides, and stories about online games.
What we are looking for
We are looking for you, an author (m/f/d) with extensive knowledge about Monster Hunter World.
You should help us rock the release of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. Especially in the release window of the expansion, we need support in writing guides and news. Even though the console release is on September 6, 2019, we are looking for someone immediately.
Therefore, it is important that you have access to a PS4 or Xbox One to report firsthand about Monster Hunter World Iceborne.
We have no formal requirements for applicants. Journalistic experience is a plus, but not a must.
It’s important to us that
- you are well-versed in Monster Hunter World
- you are interested in what readers really want and analyze data tools that reveal that
- you are good at explaining things to others. Clear language is especially important for guides
- you are willing to invest a lot of time and energy into the job, constantly develop to work more effectively and creatively
- you can exchange ideas with the other authors as a team, but ultimately work independently
- you are willing to accept criticism of your work, take it in, and develop further

When is the job available? Immediately.
How many hours is the job? 20 hours a week, with flexible working hours. In a quiet news situation with Monster Hunter World, the working hours may decrease or the author can focus on other topics if desired.
What about payment? The position is paid – we are not looking for a volunteer author as is the case with some gaming sites. The payment details will be clarified in a personal conversation.
