We are looking for reinforcement in our author team starting immediately. You can now apply for a position at MeinMMO to independently write news, guides, and specials about the battle royale hit Fortnite from home.
Who we are looking for: You should be very familiar with Fortnite and enjoy sharing your knowledge about the battle royale game.
What we are looking for:
- you always know what a new update brings to Fortnite
- you have invested several hundred hours in Fortnite and know the game very well
- you always know how to master and perfectly exploit the challenges in Fortnite
- you are good at explaining things to others – clear language is important, especially for guides
- you are interested in what the community is currently discussing and what everyone is talking about in Fortnite
- you are familiar with Reddit, Twitter, and the official website to stay informed
- you are open to reflecting on feedback about your work, accepting it, and continuing to develop your writing skills
- it is an advantage if you have previous experience: having your own blog, streaming channel, or working for another website could count – but this is not a requirement for the position.
- you enjoy writing and have an interest in journalistic work

This is the job
You will be part of our editorial team and help shape our reporting on Fortnite. We welcome suggestions and input on how we can improve this further. It is important to us that the readers are your top priority and you consider which articles are truly interesting and important for the Fortnite community.
The scope of work:
- You will write articles about Fortnite (news, guides, lists, analyses, opinions, community interviews).
- You independently search for exciting topics that you can turn into articles. You will get support from the editorial team here.
- You will engage with analysis tools like Google Trends to recognize what the Fortnite community is currently really interested in. You don’t need prior knowledge for this. The editorial team can provide you with the necessary knowledge.
- You will coordinate with the editorial team on which articles you want to write about Fortnite.
- You will accept assignments from the editorial team on the topic of Fortnite.
- You will receive feedback on your articles from the editorial team and implement it accordingly.
- You can optionally participate in workshops that we offer in the fields of online and gaming journalism.
Who we are
MeinMMO was founded in September 2013. Since March 2016, we have been part of Webedia Gaming. We continue to maintain an independent editorial team where most work from home. We rely on resources from our headquarters in Munich, where the editorial team of GameStar is also located. Both GameStar, MeinMMO, and GamePro are part of Webedia Gaming GmbH.
By now, MeinMMO reaches over 3 million unique users monthly, with a record value of 3.36 million in January 2021 according to AGOF. In just a few years, the site has established itself as one of the largest German gaming websites alongside GameStar.de and GamePro.de.
The focus of MeinMMO is on popular service games that are developed over the years and played online together. This includes titles like Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Mobile, World of Warcraft, Pokémon GO, GTA Online, Fortnite, or FIFA 21.
