Comic novels of League of Legends in collaboration with Marvel are in the works. The first story revolves around the archer Ashe.
Next year, LoL fans can look forward to “Ashe: Warmother.” The comic novel is planned for May 2019 and is set to showcase Ashe’s story. There will also be a digital edition this year.
Who is Ashe? Ashe is one of the champions who have been available in League of Legends for a long time. Due to her low acquisition price, she quickly becomes a staple for most players and is therefore very well-known.

When will the comic be available digitally? If you don’t necessarily need to hold the comic in your hand, you can read it already this year. On December 19, 2019, you will be able to read Ashe: Warmother digitally. From then on, a new issue is to be released every month.
Who writes the book? The stories are written by Odin Austin Shafer.
What is Ashe: Warmother about? The comic tells the story of one of the original champions, Ashe. She struggles with her role as a leader for her people in Runeterra and the fanatical demands of her mother.
Digital comics have already existed in LoL, such as the Ascension comic about Taric.
Why are LoL comics coming?
In Marvel’s press release, it states that many fans of the Marvel Universe and comics share the same interests and passions for storytelling as the gaming community.
Why League of Legends? The unique world of LoL and the wide range of characters are perfect for comic books, explains C.B. Cebulski from Marvel.
Greg Street from Riot Games says: We love comics as a way to tell stories. It gives fans the opportunity to see the world of Runeterra, not just read about it. We see similarities between the LoL and Marvel universes. Both have a variety of characters with compelling and diverse backgrounds.
What other comics will be released? So far, only the comic about Ashe has been announced. However, there is to be a series of comics, the titles of which have not yet been disclosed. The stories of fan favorites are supposed to be covered. Will the new heroine Neeko also soon be among the favorites?
