In Destiny 2, a raid team has accomplished something that many Guardians still often fail at, even with their best gear. They have defeated the new boss from the Shadowkeep raid – and all without using weapons.
Here is what this boss is about: With the Shadowkeep expansion, Destiny 2 has received a new raid – Garden of Salvation. Raids are considered the pinnacle of PvE activities and embody the most challenging content in this area.
The final boss of the new raid, Consecrated Mind – Sol Nature, is considered one of the most challenging raid bosses in all of Destiny 2 by many Guardians. The fight requires maximum communication and coordination from a raid team, as the mechanics in the battle are quite complex.
Players must open portals, defend pillars, fend off waves of enemies, dodge the final boss’s attacks, and at the same time deal damage to him while the ground under their feet disappears.

What have the Guardians achieved? Some pro players around Gladd have already showcased exceptional performances against the final boss of the Garden of Salvation: The final boss has already been defeated by 3 Guardians and even sent to the virtual afterlife by a 2-man team. But now a further exceptional achievement has been added.
A lesser-known team has managed to bring this incredibly tough raid boss to its knees – and did so without using a single weapon. The massive Vex monstrosity and the entire final fight were conducted and mastered solely with abilities and Supers.

How did they achieve this? On Reddit and YouTube, CommanderCuesta, a member of the team in question, explained the strategy.
The team consisted of 5 Warlocks and 1 Hunter. The Warlocks primarily relied on the exotic (and rarely used) gloves Aeon Soul.
If multiple players wear the exotic, throwing grenades grants all Aeon Cult allies (wearers of the Exotics) grenade energy for Warlocks, melee energy for Titans, and dodge energy for Hunters. This allowed the team to generate an incredible number of grenades during the fight.
Additionally, there were armor mods that refunded grenade energy when a class ability is used, as well as raid-specific relay defender mods that increased super damage against the raid boss.
Shortly before the damage phase, the Warlock team switched to the exotic boots Geomag Stabilizers to extend the duration of Chaos Rifts.
The Hunter had no particularly special setup: high discipline stats, Void grenades for DPS, and the Void Anchor as a super.
By the way, the chains were triggered at the respective boxes with grenades or melee attacks. Additionally, the grenades were primarily used against the Cyclops and the weak points of the boss.
What does the community say? Other players are overwhelmingly enthusiastic and congratulate the team on this extraordinary achievement. Numerous Guardians emphasize that even with the best weapons and a well-coordinated team, they do not always manage to defeat this tough boss, even after hours. The team’s achievement, completing it all without weapons – in just about 15 minutes – is even more remarkable.
Others are amused that the otherwise considered useless exotic gloves Aeon Soul have finally found a meaningful use. On YouTube, the user dajinsta jokes: “Bungie: removes auto-reload. PvE sweat: What are weapons?”
Again, others praise the Warlock as the so-called master race. It is also a sight to behold to see 5 Warlocks with Chaos Rifts at the final boss.
What do you think of this achievement? Have you ever accomplished similarly spectacular boss kills in raids?
