How do traveling merchants work? In Lost Ark there are many traveling merchants and you will need them repeatedly. Either you want to buy collectible cards from them or they have an item that you need for the completion of the adventure journal.
In order to make the search for the wandering companions not too frustrating, it is important to understand how exactly the merchants work.
Each area in Lost Ark has its own traveling merchant. Burt is responsible for the entire region of East Luterra. The merchants have a pool of different items they can randomly have with them.
The merchants follow one of three different schedules on when they can appear. At one of these times, the merchant appears for 25 minutes at one of the various spawn points the merchant has. He is visible on all channels there and offers his goods.

Burt – When and where can you find him?
When does Burt appear? The traveling merchant Burt follows the same schedule as his colleague Malone in West Luterra and appears at the following times for 25 minutes each. Please note that we indicate the server time and you must follow the clock in the game to meet him. The in-game clock always shows the server time.

Where can you find Burt? The merchant has 5 possible spawn points. If you try all 5 at the given server times within 25 minutes, you are sure to find the traveling merchant.
You can find Burt in these locations in East Luterra:
- Blackrose Chapel
- Leyar Cliffside
- Boreas Realm
- Crocony’s Coast (south and north)
Why you should visit Burt
The return is also worthwhile: Burt has a collectible item that you need for the adventure journal in East Luterra, and there is also a chance that he will have a valuable collectible card with him. Therefore, it is worth it for experienced adventurers to check in with the traveling merchant more often.
With a bit of luck, you can buy the Seria card from him. You need this card as often as possible for the Lostwind Cliff card set. This is a set that gives you a bonus on critical damage. It is one of the best card sets for DPS classes and a good alternative to the expensive “Light of Redemption” set.
In addition to the Seria card, Burt also has a chance for the Nox and Stormwing cards.
Also suitable for flirting: If you are missing rapport items to improve your reputation with NPCs, you can also visit good old Burt.
He may offer you Azenaporium’s Brooch, Dyorika’s Straw Hat, or a Luterra Sword with a bit of luck. You can give these items to your sweetheart to improve your relationship with that character.
Even a legendary rapport item may be available from Burt, but with a lower chance.
