Lost Ark is one of the most anticipated MMORPGs set to release in the West in 2021/2022. After the first alpha test, many are now eagerly awaiting the beta for the game. For this, we at MeinMMO have compiled all the important information.
From November 4th at 17:00 to November 11th, 2021 at 20:59, the first closed beta for Lost Ark is set to take place. It will be fully available in German.
Previously, there was already a technical alpha that took place from June 11 to June 16.
You can already register for a beta test on the official website of Lost Ark for a beta test. However, testers will be invited in waves which will be sent out between November 4 and 9. Additionally, all players who pre-order a founder’s package will have guaranteed access.
By the way, anyone who had a key for the technical alpha will not automatically receive a key for the beta, as revealed by Amazon in the FAQ.
The beta for Lost Ark will take place via Steam. A preload has been available since November 3.
The test will be completely public. You are allowed to talk about it and also stream live on Twitch or record videos for YouTube. This was different during the alpha in June.
There is already some information about what will be included in the upcoming closed beta. It mainly concerns what has changed compared to the alpha:
– The Striker will be unlocked as a new class
– There is a new, general prologue
– The max level has been raised from 50 to 55
– All content from Rohendel including the main story and chaos dungeons are included
– The content of the Phantom Palace including the dungeons are included
– The Shadespire Tower with a total of 50 floors has been added
– The shop will be adjusted for the West and all items in it should also be obtainable through in-game currency.
We also know that the progress from the alpha will not carry over to the beta. So you will have to start over.
After the end of the technical alpha in June 2021, there were rumors for a long time that the beta of the MMORPG would start in July. However, this did not come true.
No. The developer Roxx revealed on the Lost Ark forum that only the technical alpha from June, the closed beta, and then the release are planned. Additionally, there will be a wipe of characters after the beta.
Lost Ark will celebrate its release in 2022
When is Lost Ark releasing? There is currently no official release date. However, the MMORPG is set to release in spring 2022, as announced by Amazon.
The official reason cited includes the many adjustments the developers want to make for the Western version. These include:
- Localization
- Bug fixes
- Server structure
MeinMMO editor Alexander Leitsch also assumes that they want to avoid a direct confrontation with New World. The release of the latter was recently postponed to September 28, 2021, leaving little room for Lost Ark’s release:
Amazon had to postpone Lost Ark, or it would have been overshadowed by New World.
