Samira, the new champion in League of Legends, has been in the spotlight for a while. Now it is also known when her release will be.
Update September 22: The champion Samira is finally live, after originally being scheduled to appear a week ago. Riot Games released a Champion Spotlight with all the information about her abilities.
When will Samira be released? The new LoL champion Samira will come into the game with Patch 10.19. The developers announced this in a blog post.
The patch is currently scheduled for Wednesday, September 16. This is only two short weeks away – good news for everyone who is looking forward to Samira. And there are many, after initial leaks pointed to her, she then also accidentally appeared in the game data and later the champion trailer was released online.
What can Samira do?
This is Samira: After Yone, Yasuo’s brother, was introduced in early August, Samira is already coming just a few weeks later. The “Desert Rose” can rely on an arsenal of melee and ranged abilities. She can attack distant enemies with her pistols and strike in close combat with her sword. The blade also deals additional magic damage.
A special feature of Samira is the combo system of her passive ability “Daredevil Impulse”. If she hits another champion with different attacks in succession, she builds style points. These are divided into six tiers from “E” to “S” and grant her increased movement speed with rising style rank.
And once she reaches that tier “S”, she can use her ultimate ability “Inferno Trigger”.
There she fires a massive volley of shots from her weapons, which can deal physical damage, critical hits, and lifesteal. Fans reacted very positively to the revelation of Samira and compared her to Dante from Devil May Cry.
Samira as part of an event: On September 3, the new PsyOps event starts, where you can earn free icons and buy new skins. Samira is also part of the event. She will receive a new skin in a second wave, right at her release.
