The new PvE mode Swarm in League of Legends features a total of 9 different champions. We at MeinMMO show you in our tier list which champions are the strongest. There is also a brief description of what makes them so good.
The new PvE mode Swarm, also Swarm, was released on July 17 together with the new champion Aurora. In this mode, which is reminiscent of popular hits like Vampire Survivors, you fight alone or with up to three friends against a massive horde of monsters.
In each run, you choose one of nine champions to enter battle with. Our tier list shows you which champions could be the best choice for you.

S-Tier: Yasuo, Xayah, and Leona
Yasuo
Yasuo is not the strongest champion in the early game, but becomes significantly stronger later on. With this champion, you should definitely keep moving a lot.
How to unlock him: To play Yasuo in Swarm, you first need to defeat Bel’Veth in the Underground Laboratory

Xayah
To unlock Xayah, you will need to invest quite some time. It is therefore not surprising that she is among the stronger champions in Swarm.
How to unlock Xayah: Even though Xayah is among the S-Tier champions, you have to do quite a bit to be able to play her. To unlock Xayah, you must complete a total of 20 Bel’Veth trials on the hard difficulty level.

Bunny Crossbow
: Shoots arrows in a random direction. The arrows pierce their target on a critical hit- Bunny Repeating Crossbow: Causes area damage over time in a cone

: Fires orbital strikes at random enemies- UwU Blaster: Quickly fires laser projectiles at the nearest enemy
Leona
Leona is a strong tank and you can unlock her relatively quickly in the game. In the late game, with the right build, you won’t be defeated very quickly, making her a good choice early on as well.
How to unlock Leona: You also need to unlock Leona as a playable champion. For this, you must upgrade the weapon Burning Short Bow
to level 2.

A-Tier: Illaoi, Riven, and Briar
Illaoi
Illaoi is especially well-suited for fast leveling. Her ultimate ability makes her incredibly strong, as you can quickly defeat mini-bosses with it.
How to unlock Illaoi: You have not unlocked the champion Illaoi from the start. To use this champion, you must upgrade Light Field
to level 4.

Iceblast Armor

Vortex Glove
: Fires a rotating stream of projectiles.
Riven
Riven is also one of the champions in which you need to invest quite some time to play. However, the effort is worth it, as Riven is not only simply strong but also brings a shield that can deflect damage.
How to unlock Riven: To unlock Riven, you must defeat Rek’Sai on the hard difficulty level.

- Riven’s weapon: The upgrade of the champion’s weapon for additional damage
- Blade Throw: Projectile throwing weapon that can cause significant AoE damage to multiple enemies at once after an upgrade
- Whirling Slashers: Blades moving in a circle that deal damage and push back enemies

: Blocks damage and freezes nearby enemies. The damage scales with armor and maximum health- Light Field: Deals damage to nearby enemies that scales with your maximum health
Briar
Briar is not the optimal choice on all maps, but still a strong champion. There is one map where the champion is particularly strong: the underground laboratory. For this map, Briar is an excellent choice.
How to unlock Briar: To unlock Briar, you must first defeat the boss of the same name. You can do this on The Outskirts
. The difficulty level is not crucial here.

Seraphine
Seraphine can be a strong pick, especially when playing with friends. With her E, you can shield both yourself and your friends. Especially in the late game, you can use her E almost constantly, which makes her a strong support in groups. In solo play, she is somewhat weaker – other champions are better suited for that.
How to unlock Seraphine: Seraphine is one of two characters that you unlock directly at the start of the game.

Iceblast Armor

Jinx
Especially for your first rounds and to get into the game, Jinx is definitely optimal. However, once you have played a few rounds, other champions are the better choice – especially when playing solo.
How to unlock Jinx: Jinx is, along with Seraphine, the second champion that you do not have to unlock and have from the start.

You need to invest some time to unlock Aurora, but she does not entirely convince with her abilities and is a worse choice compared to other champions.
How to unlock Aurora: Even though Aurora is among the C-tier champions, you first need to unlock her. For this, you must defeat 25 mini-bosses at the hard difficulty level.
