What is so special about the success? Teemo is a rather unpopular champion. Many find him annoying because of his mushrooms and sounds, especially when playing against him. At the same time, he is considered rather weak when one wants to use him oneself.

Almost always the same runes and items
How did he achieve success? The player is a so-called one-trick pony and has been using almost always Teemo in the same lane for years. This has allowed him to master the champion. He even created a two-hour-long video discussing the mistakes of the top laner ADD, who played Teemo at the World Championship in 2022.
In 90% of his matches, he uses the items Liandry’s Anguish, Zhonya’s Hourglass, Rylai’s Crystal Scepter, and Ball of Ruin. Only in 10% does he adapt flexibly to his opponents.
He always levels E first, then W, and then Q. He also uses the summoner spells Flash and Ignite.

Why does this work? Alan234 is confident that he can win in any matchup with Teemo. This is also because he can almost continuously maintain blindness on his opponent, which makes him very strong in 1v1s.
The most annoying matchups are against mages in the top lane, but they are easier to gank when the jungler comes by.
Additionally, the player believes that Teemo is among the best when it comes to scaling in the endgame. In the endgame itself, he mainly focuses on pushing, creating vision on opponents, and zoning in team fights.

What does Alan himself think of his champion? In Reddit, the player was asked when Teemo will finally no longer be the most hated champ in the game. He replied: “That has already happened, it’s just a meme now.”
He sees the change in Teemo’s image at the point when Yuumi became the big thing. Because Yuumi is much more annoying.
