She has an int button on W/Ult, has no innate regeneration, and needs to know when to disengage from a fight to be effective. It’s not surprising that she seems so bad for beginners.
Expert_Swan_7904 emphasizes: Briar on the enemy team went 1/15. The player kept saying that he lost control over his character, lol.
This could be attributed to Briar’s mechanics, particularly her abilities with W and Ult.
sorayayy adds: Normally, I can blindly select a new champion because it’s not hard for a beginner to control him, but Briar is definitely an exception to the rule.
What makes her difficult? Briar requires precise decisions to be effective. Her blood frenzy mode is powerful, but when her E ability is on cooldown, she may unintentionally charge into, for example, enemy towers or opponents and die – without being able to intervene. Therefore, it is crucial to master the right timing for these abilities and to know when it’s smarter to disengage and wait.
How does the statistic look? Statistics from u.gg show that Briar is currently the worst jungler in all ranks, with a win rate of only 35.81% (as of 14.09.23). Her pick rate is also low, possibly due to frequent bans.
Many players likely still do not understand how to play Briar effectively. It takes time to engage with her abilities and get to know her kit better. After all, she has only been live on the servers since yesterday. However, if her win rate and influence on the game remain that poor, players can likely expect a balancing of Briar.
