In League of Legends, unusual picks occasionally crystalize that are absolutely dominant on their lane and then perform even better than the well-known champions of that position. Currently, a tank has found its way to the bot lane, where it absolutely dominates.
If you look at the current statistics on sites like U.GG, the top 5 champions in the ADC position regarding win rate are not ADCs at all. Alongside the mages who have recently discovered the position, there is a surprising candidate in 1st place.
Tahm Kench is currently the best ADC according to win rate. With a win rate of 54.26%, he has an extremely high win rate. In his original main position, the top lane, he has a solid but unremarkable 50.66%. The surprising thing is that these statistics are for all ranks combined. So why is he currently so strong? His regular items have not changed. He remains the tank with Heartsteel, who is incredibly difficult to beat. His best partner on the bot lane is probably Senna. While Tahm Kench farms the minions, Senna collects souls and gets stronger by the minute.
Through her item build, she can also become strong early and deal good damage. During the laning phase, Senna can poke well due to her range, and Tahm Kench also has a good source of damage through his Q ability. With the shield and heal from his E ability, it is also difficult to defeat Tahm Kench. Additionally, Senna has extra healing potential.
Both champions are great for and against ganks. With Tahm Kench’s W ability, he can escape ganks well, and he can also gank effectively and surprise opponents. With his ultimate, he can take Senna or other teammates with him and drive opponents crazy with his CC.
