In the future, you will be able to end unfair League of Legends (LoL) games with a single command.
We have already reported that LoL wants to abolish one of its most annoying issues, but the system at that time was not yet fully developed. It is always particularly frustrating when you start a LoL game and a player does not participate from the very first second. You then have to decide whether to gather all your strength to win the game 4 against 5, wait for the opponents to destroy the Nexus, or play until the 20th minute to be able to surrender.
With Patch 6.11, there will be a remake function in League of Legends
At least on the North American servers, the new feature will be integrated into the game with Patch 6.11. With this feature, you can restart the match – but without the person(s) who disconnected. This is how it works:
- If a player is shown as AFK or Disconnected for at least 90 seconds (when reaching the 3-minute mark of the game) – and no ‘First Blood’ has occurred yet, the players of the disadvantaged team will be asked in a chat message after a /remake.
- All players of this team have 1 minute to participate in the vote by typing /remake in the chat.
- This vote requires at least 2 out of 4 players (30% of the players in the game) to agree in order for the game to end.
- All players who participated in the game will not face any consequences from this game. There will be no gain or loss of LP/IP/XP and no changes in the won/lost statistics.
- The players with disconnect will lose LP as if it were a normal defeat and can also have a promotion game counted as a defeat. Additionally, they will be marked for the Leaver Buster.
- Important for ranked games: From a rank of Diamond 5 and above, the players in a premade group with the disconnected player will also receive a defeat counted. This is important to prevent abuse of the system. Riot will also keep an eye on this feature to see if it is necessary in ranks below Diamond.
With Patch 6.11, this feature will be tested on the NA servers. So it won’t be long before it is available on the other servers as well.
