Valorant offers you 10 agents at release. These are individual characters, each possessing unique abilities. We have created a list of all heroes where you can find the skills and their descriptions.
Who are the agents of Valorant? In total, there are 10 character classes at release and now during the closed beta. They are often compared to Overwatch due to their unique abilities. They are also assigned one of 4 roles. Below we introduce the heroes, explain what the roles mean, and what to consider with the skills.
We have already explained everything about the closed beta of Valorant. In the link, you will find information on registration, Twitch drops, and streamers through whom you can receive a beta key.
Classes Explained – The Roles of the Characters
All agents in Valorant are assigned to one of four roles. The roles dictate the strategy of the individual heroes. They can either be aggressive, defensive, or focus more on controlling the map or opponents.
- Duelist: They have an aggressive playstyle and quickly take down opponents.
- Initiator: They prepare duels and confrontations by gaining control over the map.
- Strategist: They require a highly strategic playstyle and come equipped with abilities that can detect opponents. They always keep an eye on the match’s state.
- Guardian: They are the defenders and secure strategically important points on the map.
Although the roles are designated for a specific playstyle, the heroes do not differ from each other outside of the skills. This means that the weapons deal the same damage for each hero as well. A well-placed headshot can take down any agent.
These stats are common to all agents:
- Health
- Hitboxes
- Shields
The 10 Characters and Their Skills at a Glance
Here you will find a list of all agents, along with a description and the skills of each hero. In the parentheses behind the names of the abilities, you will find the key bindings.
The skills are structured as follows:
- The E-skill is permanently available to you during a match. However, it has a long cooldown and should be used with caution.
- The Q- and C-skills must be purchased and equipped during the buy phase before a round. If you haven’t purchased them, they will not be available during the round.
- The X-skill is your ultimate and most powerful ability. It charges during a match, and you will find small orbs on the map that you can collect to charge the skill faster by one point. But beware: they are, of course, coveted, even by opponents.
What else should I know about the skills? Some agents have an alternative mode. This is defaultly bound to the right mouse button.
Small Tip: You can view your agent’s skills during a match by pressing the F1 key.
