In Battlefield 6, you must level up your weapons to unlock new attachments. To do this, you need to earn weapon XP. We provide tips on how to do this best.
How do you level up your weapons most effectively? During our playtime, we found that leveling up the weapons was most effective in the “Dominance” mode.
In Dominance, there are overall fewer players, but the maps are small and primarily designed for close-quarter combat. After a spawn, you don’t have to walk long to get into the next gunfight. This is important because kills provide weapon XP.
To earn weapon XP, ideally, you should aim for your opponent’s head. That should – if I’m not mistaken – give more experience points than kills via body shots.
What should you pay attention to while playing? In Dominance, there is usually a constant change regarding which team holds which flag. Observe the movement patterns of your enemies and position yourself accordingly.
If you understand where the opponents are going next, you can intercept them. With the element of surprise, simple kills can often be achieved – and thus headshots can be landed even if your aim is not good.
Why smaller modes? On one hand, you want to have as many gunfights as possible quickly to gather kills and thus weapon XP. This is easier in the smaller maps in the smaller modes – also because no vehicles get in your way.
On the other hand, you notice this progress much faster. A match in Dominance usually only lasts a few minutes. You can grab a new weapon, play 1-3 matches, and quickly unlock the first attachments. This can represent a noticeable improvement for a weapon like the M4A1.
Why not King of the Hill? This is a personal preference, but in Dominance it can be easier to foresee the spawns and rotations of the opponents. If you can read your opponents perfectly in King of the Hill, the mode is also very good for leveling weapons.
