On Saturday, December 2nd, Epic Games during the big Fortnite event “The Big Bang” ended Season: OG and started Chapter 5 Season 1. To this end, the developers introduced three new permanent modes: Fortnite Festival, Rocket Racing, and LEGO Fortnite.
Particularly the last mode is attracting the interest of many fans. Just one hour after the release of LEGO Fortnite, the mode had 921,000 players (as of December 7th, 14:07).

What is LEGO Fortnite? LEGO Fortnite is a survival crafting adventure made up of LEGO bricks – those little toy blocks that cause a sharp pain when stepped on accidentally.
The mode offers you open worlds where you can unleash your creativity and experimental spirit while playing together with up to eight players.
The gameplay is reminiscent of Minecraft, especially focusing on building with LEGO bricks. The gaming experience thus deviates quite clearly from normal Fortnite gameplay.

Various modes for survivors and building enthusiasts
At the start of a new journey in LEGO Fortnite, you can choose between two modes:
- the survival mode
- the sandbox mode
In survival mode, you will encounter various dangers, need to gather food and resources, and withstand the elements. Your sword is an important companion.
The sandbox mode is aimed at players who just want to build. Here, you can also spawn items without having to collect resources. Additionally, you can turn off various options like enemies, hunger, and stamina.

How can I play LEGO Fortnite? Download the latest update of Fortnite and scroll down. Then, you need to open the “Discover” screen and look for “LEGO Fortnite” in the “by Epic” row.

Since when is LEGO Fortnite playable? LEGO Fortnite was released on December 7, 2023, after the downtime was concluded at around 13:15 and is now officially playable in Fortnite (via lego.com).
