Where can you find Obsidian? You need to head to the desert biome of LEGO Fortnite. You can mine Obsidian in caves, but you must defeat strong enemies first and watch out for the lava. With the right preparation, this shouldn’t be a problem for you.

How to find Obsidian
This is what you need to do: As you may know from other ores, you will also find Obsidian in caves. The problem is that Obsidian spawns next to lava. Mining it is not that easy.
- Arm yourself with a sword to fight the strong enemies in the caves
- Also, take torches and food with you
- Snowberries or the snowberry shake are important for your endeavor
- You need a pickaxe of at least “Rare” level to mine Obsidian
- Open your map and head to the desert biome (the desert is outlined in yellow)
- The available caves are marked with symbols
- Now move to the entrance of the cave and march in
Go down in the cave until you can see the lava. Now you should protect yourself from the heat and eat the snowberries, for example. Otherwise, your health will keep decreasing because the heat is so strong.
Now look for Obsidian along the lava.
Tips: If you want, you can build a small shelter near the cave to heal there. Alternatively, bring enough cooked food with you to quickly restore your health points.
The snowberry shake gives you resistance against heat for 10 minutes. You can make it from snowberries (which grow on bushes in the snow biome) and milk (which you get by interacting with cows).
What does Obsidian look like? It is a rock that sparkles dark purple. Once you find it, you can easily mine it with your pickaxe. You will find it on walls or on the ground.
Once you have collected enough Obsidian, you can run back to your base and process it further to craft new items.
