Unfortunately, there is (still) no traditional fast travel like in Skyrim in LEGO Fortnite. However, there are some tricks to help you travel faster. In this guide, we present them to you.
Walking is the first and easiest means of transportation in LEGO Fortnite. However, it is also the slowest. If you want to give your movement a real boost, we have three stylish options for you here.
Build yourself a car
A car in LEGO Fortnite does not need as many components as a real vehicle. Of course, you don’t need a driver’s license either. A guide can help though, and you can find one here in our detailed guide on building: LEGO Fortnite: Building a car with a steering wheel – It’s that easy
Build yourself a glider
Your character has a total of four equipment slots. One of them can be used for the glider. Once you have built and equipped one, you can jump from any elevated point and pull the glider with another click of the jump button. This way, you can quickly glide over the map.
You will need the following for a glider:
- 1 workbench (at least at level
rare
) - 8 softwood sticks
- 4 wool fabrics
- 4 silk fabrics

Build yourself an airship
While you still need an elevated point to jump off for the glider, you can move upwards directly from the ground with a simple airship. For this, you will need the following materials. You can find all items under “Toys”:
- 1 dynamic foundation
- 1-2 large nozzles
- 1 activation lever
- 4 small balloons
And here’s how to combine everything: First, build the dynamic foundation. Then attach the nozzle(s) to one edge of the foundation. Now jump onto the foundation and attach the activation lever. With the lever, you can control the nozzles. Lastly, just attach the balloons.
With this, you have a simple flying platform that quickly takes you from A to B. However, if you’re up for a challenge and really motivated, this build from reddit could be exciting for you:
Here’s a tip: You can craft small and large balloons. They vary in their respective lifting capacity. The bigger and more complex your aircraft is, the more balloons it needs to lift the platform into the air. It’s best to test which balloons in which size are most useful for your purposes.
