Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 offers some exciting loot for role players. However, not all treasures are found in chests or from defeated enemies. With a simple stone, valuable loot literally falls from the sky.
How do you get loot? In Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, you will find loot in various places of the expansive game world. Such as in chests that you can simply open or picklock. Or you can take the loot from defeated enemies. You can also steal valuable goods from people using pickpocketing.
There are also bird nests that sometimes contain loot. You will find them on your travels through medieval Bohemia. If you come across a tree with a nest, you will receive a notification at the top of the screen. The nest will also be marked on the map so you can return there later.
Many players try the obvious to get to the treasures. They shoot at them with a bow or crossbow. But it can be even easier.
On the Stone
What is the solution? As reddit user Yorttam shows in a short clip, you can retrieve the bird nests with a simple throw of a stone from the treetop.
In Kingdom Come 2, those who prefer to sneak around can indeed throw a stone. This can distract NPCs. The feature only works when you are crouching. Therefore, it is not immediately obvious to apply the stone throw even to the bird nests.
But it works: Look for the bird nest in the treetop and aim for it. Throw a stone and with a bit of luck, the nest will tumble down right at your feet. Inside, depending on the nest, you will find bird eggs, but also valuable loot like smithing materials, groschen, or glittering treasures.
You can also find lockpicks in the nests. They are initially rare and essential if you want to take an dishonorable path in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. You can find a detailed guide on MeinMMO.
The community on reddit was partly unaware of the trick with the stone. The reactions in the comments are all the more surprising:
- “This will prove useful, as I shot those bird nests with a crossbow, and the guards in the villages were not pleased”, writes kamil7122124.
- “I wasted all my arrows and bolts,” says General_Lie.
- “I forgot that you can throw stones,” says Megakruemel, speaking for many users.
- “You mean I don’t have to shoot 17 arrows into the sky, hoping that one of them actually hits?”, writes regalfronde.
- “120 hours and I never did that,” summarizes AsaTJ.
- “I feel dumb for not having thought of that,” writes 8IG0R8.
For loot hunters, the trick makes life much easier. At the end of the day, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is not a game that showers you with loot. Therefore, it is all the more satisfying when there is something useful in a chest or indeed one of the many nests. In the meantime, the game has celebrated great success: Kingdom Come 2 celebrates 1 million players and a new peak on Steam, with 91% positive
