In Red Dead Online, players are reporting an absurd glitch or exploit. Apparently, boats suddenly fall from the sky in the online mode of Red Dead Redemption 2. The streets of Saint Denis are partially clogged with burnt-out boats.
Where is it raining boats? In the city of Saint Denis, boat showers are becoming more frequent.
As the US site Kotaku reports, it is growing into a sort of natural phenomenon. The boats either appear in places where they simply don’t belong, or they even fall from the sky.
On reddit, players of Red Dead Online are discussing the boats. On social networks like Twitter, they exchange photos of their random encounters with boats.
If too many boats are lying in the streets, even performance issues arise, it is said. Additionally, invisible debris is said to be haunting the streets of Saint Denis and causing problems.
No one can currently explain what exactly is going on and why so many boats are populating the city. Players report they have discovered dozens of burnt-out boats.
What is causing this? No one knows, a statement from developer Rockstar is still pending.
- Some think it is merely a glitch that one would expect in a beta. Rockstar had specifically pointed out that such problems can occur in the beta.
- However, a player on reddit believes that someone with malicious intent is behind it. He says: “Someone is making it rain boats. Someone must have probably found an exploit to spawn boats. Yesterday, it rained boats.”
- Others even suspect that there could be ‘hackers’ at work.
But there is no confirmation for that yet.
How players are reacting: Players are currently reacting amused by these bizarre encounters. The bug seems simply too absurd to be taken seriously.
Players merely state curiously and truthfully: “Red Dead Online has burnt-out boats spawning on the streets of Saint Denis.”
