The latest shooter from “Activision” will soon celebrate its big release. Not only could players enjoy the multiplayer mode in the beta, but now even preorder customers can get a taste of its new campaign.

When will CoD: MW2 be officially released? According to Activision and its release plan for the PC, Germany will be unlocked for gaming on October 28 at 06:00. It is still unknown how it will be for consoles, but we suspect that the developers will also allow console players on the servers from 6 a.m.
All editions at a glance: Activision offers a total of three editions for you to buy. These include:

- Cross-Gen Bundle from 79.99 €
- Standard Edition from 79.99 €

Not only download size and prices are decisive, but also the content you can play after the release. If you have bought CoD: MW2, you can download the campaign, the multiplayer mode, as well as the co-op mode and Warzone 2. But not everything is playable at launch.

Warzone 2.0 will arrive with Season 1 on November 16. The PvE raids for the co-op mode will be released in mid-season on December 14.

With a new installment, innovations must not be missing, as MW2 has improved and brings mainly:

Story and the Setting
What is the story in MW2 about? The setting and story of MW2 take place in the present day. Familiar faces like Captain Price, Ghost, Soap, and Gaz dive back into battle, this time against a Mexican cartel and terrorists.
Missiles from the U.S. Army have been sighted in the hands of terrorists, and now it’s your job to find out how they got their hands on these weapons. A gripping story with breathtaking graphics that almost brought our steel CoD expert Maik Schneider to tears.
Info about multiplayer – gunsmith, operators, maps, and modes
Especially the multiplayer mode enjoys huge interest from fans. But before you head into battle with your friends, you need to know what new things await you.
Gunsmith 2.0
The gunsmith gets a new coat of paint. In Modern Warfare 2, you will have the option to unlock over 50 weapons through platforms and account levels. These platforms include a group of various weapons that you need to unlock one after the other. Basically, you are forced to try out other types of guns and be able to play with them.
However, if you have unlocked your weapon, you gain the ability to slap a variety of attachments on your gun. Later weapons of a platform start with a certain number of attachments and do not start from scratch. You can find out more about Gunsmith 2.0 here.
All known operators in multiplayer
In multiplayer mode, the usual operators are available to you. The factions are back in the game, and in each match, you either play on one side or the other – so you have to choose a favorite operator.
This time, there are a total of 25 soldiers. At first, you will have 7 fighters to choose from. However, if you have progressed in the co-op mode and campaign, you will unlock most others. The following belong to the Specgru faction:

Maps and modes in MW2
As for maps, Activision is still being sparse with information. However, the following maps from the beta are already known:
- 6vs6-maps
- Valderas Museum
- Breenbergh Hotel
- Farm 18
- Mercado Las Almas
- Ground War maps
- Sarrif Bay
- Sa’Id
Additionally, there will be a map on a Formula 1 racetrack. It had problems in the beta and was therefore not included in the test. However, it should be available at launch.
Regarding modes, we were able to fish out the following information based on the beta. They are divided into normal modes and Ground War:
- Normal modes (matches on small to medium-sized maps)
- Search & Destroy
- Team Deathmatch
- Free4All
- Domination
- Hardpoint
- Third-Person Mode
- Knock-Out
- Prisoner Rescue
- Ground War (matches on large maps)

Furthermore, we expect that the modes “Headquarters” and “Control” will be introduced into the game. Both are considered standard modes that are very often included.
