Every CPU comes with a cooler, but they’ve never really been good at Intel. However, with the 12th generation, Intel has revamped its coolers.
Those who buy a processor (CPU) today usually receive a cooler from the manufacturer, known as a stock cooler.
AMD revamped its coolers with the launch of its Ryzen processors. The coolers do a great job and at a pleasant noise level, as long as you don’t want to overclock the processors. AMD even dominated Intel on Amazon with the Ryzen processors for a while.
Intel had a different experience until now. The parts were difficult to install, cooling performance was rather mediocre, and the coolers made unpleasant noises. But with the latest generation of processors, Intel has finally revamped its stock coolers. And the results are surprisingly positive. At least that is what several testers report.
New design, but does it cool better?
What stands out first? First of all, it is noticeable that Intel has revised the design of its cooling. The coolers appear more delicate at first glance and are not as bulky anymore. Additionally, the new coolers come with subtle RGB lighting.
Since Intel is using a new and larger socket with its 12th generation, you cannot use your old stock coolers with the 12th generation anymore.

An improvement of 2 degrees may initially sound minor, but it is a significant improvement for a processor. If temperatures get too high, the CPU performance is throttled.

What else can we expect from Intel in 2022?
Intel has introduced its new high-end graphics cards under the brand name “Arc”: Intel plans to release new graphics cards in spring 2022 and has presented a comprehensive release plan for the coming years. However, there is still little new information about the graphics cards.
Some even hoped that Intel could soon provide graphics cards for under 300 euros. However, many have become skeptical, as many graphics cards cost more than double the suggested retail price (SRP) at their actual release. After the launch of the RTX 3080, many graphics cards ended up on eBay at outrageous prices.
Another question is whether Intel can even establish itself with its new graphics cards. Nvidia and AMD have dominated the graphics card market for years.
